At Cindy Dance Academy, we believe every milestone deserves to be celebrated—especially the ones achieved through hard work, focus, and heart. In 2024, our young ballet students took on one of the most respected challenges in the world of dance: the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet Examinations.
The RAD syllabus is internationally recognised for its rigor, structure, and artistic depth. It not only assesses technical precision, but also poise, musicality, and expressive performance. For our students, participating in these exams was more than a test—it was a journey of personal growth, and they made us proud every step of the way.

The Journey to Examination Day
Preparing for an RAD examination means more than perfecting technique, it means showing up with dedication week after week, refining every movement, and developing true artistry. Our dancers trained consistently for months, working on posture, alignment, musicality, and the emotional storytelling that makes ballet so powerful.
Our instructors played a central role, providing individual feedback, encouragement, and mentorship throughout the process.
Examination Day
When examination day arrived, the studio transformed into a space of quiet determination and hopeful energy. Dancers arrived early, dressed neatly in their leotards and ballet shoes, hair secured in perfect buns. There was a buzz in the air, but also a calm confidence, built on weeks of preparation.
Each exam followed the RAD’s structured format, with dancers assessed on a range of elements including barre work, centre practice, travelling steps, and musical interpretation. Our students were evaluated not just for their physical technique, but also for their presence, discipline, and ability to express emotion through movement.

And they rose to the occasion. With composure, grace, and poise beyond their years, our dancers made both their families and their teachers incredibly proud.
This milestone marks just one chapter in our students’ artistic journeys. Many are already back in the studio preparing for new goals, including upcoming performances, community showcases, and the next cycle of RAD exams.
At CDA, we remain committed to guiding every student through their unique path, offering expert training, compassionate mentorship, and countless opportunities to thrive both on and off the stage.
